I decided to try a new, clean skin care product line from Dime Beauty. I purchased their ‘The Works,’ set so I can have a good idea of how it works as a skin care system. I have found it is better to use the same products for your skin care routine as that typically maximizes its effect, based on my own experience.
I really love the black bottles too; it makes them look very sleek and they also go well with the look of my bathroom (I know this really isn’t the most important attribute haha).
This post is all about clean skin care products that will improve the appearance of your skin.
1. Gentle Jelly Cleanser
I always list products in the order of how I use them during my skin care routine. This gentle jelly cleanser is described as leaving your skin “refreshed and supple.” This is how my skin felt after I tried it the first time, and it continues to have that effect after each use. I love when skin care doesn’t dry out my skin, and I can say that this cleanser will not dry out your skin. I really also love that the ingredients are clean and it smells like strawberry! The ingredients are: coconut, vitamin E, strawberry oil, and Lycopene.
2. Super Skin Toner
The next step in my skin care routine is to apply this Super Skin Toner, which I apply after I wash my face. I use a cotton ball to apply it to my face and neck. Toners are used for evening out your skin tone and this toner also decreases the size of your pores. This toner will support “energy production in skin cells, nourishes to help skin maintain a healthy pH balance, and aids in rejuvenating and moisturizing skin.” I love the effects of using a toner as they do help with evening out your skin tone, making them an essential part of a skin care routine.
3. Hyper Glow Vitamin C Serum
The next step is to apply this Hyper Glow Vitamin C serum, that is going to brighten, tighten and leave your skin more supple. Vitamin C serums are usually applied in the morning, because they boost your skin’s natural defenses to protect it from the effects of the sun. A vitamin C serum is another really essential part of your skin care routine, and additionally, you will find that these serums are going to hydrate your skin.
4. Hyaluronic Acid Serum
After applying the Vitamin C serum (daytime only), I apply this Hyaluronic Acid Serum next. Hyaluronic Acid Serum is referred to as the Holy Grail of skin care. Hyaluronic Acid Serum is great for “dry or dehydrated skin and for those prone to fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid also helps smooth signs of aging by promoting skin elasticity and may even help reduce redness.”
5. Dewy Day Cream
The last step in my skin care routine is to apply this Dewy Day Cream. This moisturizer is so good and will replenish and deeply hydrate your skin. It has the following clean ingredients: rosehip seed oil, ceramide 3, snow mushroom (tremella mushroom), aloe vera, and squalane. This moisturizer of course would be applied in the morning or at the start of your day.
6. Restorative Night Cream
This Restorative Night Cream will help lock in moisture overnight. It is described on their website as: The gentle ingredients in this simple peptide moisturizer mimic the skin’s own structure, working with its natural night-time renewal process for deeply hydrated, rejuvenated, youthful-looking skin.” I have always used a Day and Night Moisturizer since they are each specifically designed to work with your skin’s natural process.
